Opening New Practice - Roots Integrative Gynecology

My new practice will be focusing on delivering health and wellness care that utilizes traditional western medicine and alternative methods that facilitate your body’s innate healing response.

In 2013, I completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine with the University of Arizona founded by the renowned Dr. Andrew Weil and am thrilled to be able to offer you this more holistic approach to care. I am passionate about partnering with you to uncover and understand the root causes of your dis-ease and find solutions that truly treat the underlying causes of symptoms. I am deeply committed to help you live a life full of energy and vitality. In this practice together we will consider all factors that influence your health, wellness and any disease, including your mind, spirit, & community as well as your physical body.

I will continue to do annual well-woman exams, and follow - ups on pap smears, contraception, hormone therapy, etc. and also incorporate personalized nutrition counseling, evidence based recommendations for supplements and herbs, mind-body techniques, acupuncture, and prescriptions for bio-identical hormones based off of laboratory work and personal symptoms.

As I have always strived to do, I will continue to listen to you, hear your story, and take the time necessary to bridge a therapeutic relationship with you. New patient visits will be an hour long. And I am thrilled that I will have 45 minutes for annual exams and any new problem visits. Follow ups visits will be 15 minutes unless of course if more time is necessary. In order to focus more on patient care, and not be constrained by insurance companies I will no longer be contracting with traditional insurance. Office visits may be paid for using HSA or FSA funding if that is an option for you or my office can provide you documentation which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. (Your prescriptions and most labs including pap smears will continue to be submitted to your insurance as previously.)

I am so happy to have Joy Pierce as my office manager. For those of you that may have been patients of Dr. Bobby Chu or Cindy Grady it will be a familiar friendly voice and smile.
